Penn gave so many people joy, happiness, and true friendship throughout his life. I know he is smiling now in the arms of his Lord and Savior. We have lost a good man, but Heaven has gained another angel.

Marcie, and family. I first met Penn on a football field (Charleston Southern) when we officiated a football game. As time progressed, I went the ACC route and Penn went the SEC route. Later in our careers, Penn switched over to the ACC where we worked a couple games on the field. We both went to replay after that and we worked together there. What a guy! Great man, always considerate of others. Heaven got an angel.

Penn worked his first high school game with me in SCISD in Charleston in I think 1972. He was a fine man and I knew then he would potentially be a very good official. Even at a young age, he was a man of great principles and I always enjoyed being with him on our trips to games. May you REST IN PEACE old friend and God bless his family.

I am so sorry for your loss. I knew Penn from officiating football and considered him my friend for over 30 years. I really appreciated our time together on the football field or the golf course and just hanging out with the guys. Rest easy now Penn!
