William Edwin Acquard Jr., age 70, passed away on January 7, 2025, at his home in Twin Mountain, NH. He was born on September 20, 1954, in Wilmington, Delaware to parents, William Acquard and Barbara (Ayers) Acquard. The loving husband of Lynn (Orzol) Acquard; they were married on May 31, 1980, in Binghamton, NY, and spent many loving years together.

William retired from the University of Delaware and after retiring found joy working at Santa's Village in Jefferson, NH, where he operated rides and shared the magic of the holiday season with visitors from near and far. An avid roller coaster enthusiast, William had a lifelong love for theme parks, often traveling across the East Coast and Midwest to experience the best coasters and attractions. His enthusiasm for amusement parks was infectious.

In addition to William’s love for coasters he found peace and fulfillment in nature. William spent countless hours camping and hiking in the White Mountains, Smoky Mountains, and Shenandoah National Park, immersing himself in the beauty of the great outdoors.

William is survived by his spouse, Lynn, his brother, Charlie, sister-in-law, Geraldine, and his nephews, Matthew, Daniel, and Brian.
