William Francis Adams was born on December 30, 1933 in Woonsocket, Rhode Island, the son of the late William Joseph and Lucia Peloquin Adams.
On October 6, 2001, he was united in marriage to Birdie Scott, who survives.
Mr. Adams honorably served his country in the United States Navy during the Korean War on the USS Philippine Sea aircraft carrier. He later retired from Aqua Glass. William was a member of the Knights of Columbus, VFW, and St. Mary's Catholic Church in Savannah, Tennessee. In his younger years, he enjoyed going hunting and fishing. Mr. Adams liked to spend time woodworking and being with the VFW and Knights of Columbus. More than anything, he cherished the time he spent with his family, especially his grandchildren. William was a wonderful, loving father and husband and was very devoted and faithful to his family.
William Francis Adams departed this life on September 6, 2024 in Savannah, Tennessee, at the age of 90 years, 8 months, and 7 days.
He is survived by his wife, Birdie Adams of Savannah, Tennessee; sons, Mitchell D. Adams and his wife Mary Ellen of Harrisville, Rhode Island and William J. Adams and his wife Teresa of Jackson, Tennessee; stepdaughter, Elaine Terrell White and her husband Ray of Savannah, Tennessee; stepson, Robert D. Terrell and his wife Colleen of Covington, Louisiana; sister, Elaine Croteau of Rhode Island; 6 grandchildren; and 5 great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, William was preceded in death by his daughter, Julie Adams and son, Gary Adams.
