William Keith Alkire

Bill and I worked for Shell Ofshore and were paired as a geophysicist (Bill) and Geologist evaluating prospects and offshore leases in Federal Offshore Lease Sales in 1970s.I visited him in his home in Covington after we both retired and heard those exciting war stories. He came to church concerts in which my wife and I sang. He was always friendly and enjoyed life.

Bill and I were transferred by Shell Oil from Houston about 1968. We worked together on prospects/tracts in Federal lease sales in Gulf of Mexico. He was a very intelligent capable geophysicist who helped Shell become largest and most successful oil company in the Gulf. We both retired and lived in Covington. I was able to visit him last February on his 97 th birthday.

Remembering "Mr Alkire" as the most loving father, husband and friend to everyone he knew. We cherish the memories he added to our neighborhood family. Our sincere condolences to your whole family. May he Rest In Peace with his wife Joan and God who he faithfully served throughout his life.
