William Adrian "Bill" Alston

William (Bill) Adrian Alston Jr - Passed on December 9th, 2023.
William Adrian Alston, Jr. (Bill) was born in Marlin, Texas on August 14,1942. His parents were William Adrian Alston, Sr., and Frances Lucille Poole Alston. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Mary Sturdevant Alston, daughter Alice Alston Turner and husband David Turner, daughter Jennifer Lynne Alston, granddaughters Hannah, Hailey and Hope Turner, brothers Keith Alston and wife Beth, Kevin Alston and sisters Kim Alston and Lisa Alston and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Jack Alston, and Jon Alston.
Bill worked in the airline industry for many years. First with Braniff Airways and then Southwest Airlines. At Southwest, he was presented with the President's Award for his dedication to his work. He retired from Ikon Office Solutions as Director of their call center in Houston. Bill was a member of First Baptist Church, Georgetown, where he served as a Deacon and as a class teacher for many years. One of his favorite activities at church was greeting the congregation at the front door of the sanctuary. He loved people so much and this gave him the opportunity to share that love.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial gifts to the Benevolence Fund at First Baptist Georgetown, 1333 West University Avenue, Georgetown, Texas 78628.
