William Anderson Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Cartmell-Davis Funeral & Cremation Service, Inc. - Main Office on Dec. 9, 2025.
William Howland Anderson of Plymsouth, Massachusetts, passed away on December 8th at Boston Medical Center South, after a long illness. Born on December 25, 1948, he was the beloved son of the late Lester and Beverly (Armstrong) Anderson. William, "Bill" was educated in Plymouth and graduated from Plymouth-Carver High School, where he began to cultivate his love for nature and the outdoors.
Bill proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War from 1969 to 1971, achieving the rank of Sergeant. After his military service, he dedicated over 37 years to the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation as a Park Supervisor, where he combined his passion for the environment with a commitment to public service until he retired from Scusset Beach
Campground. He took great joy in preserving the beauty of Massachusetts' parks and fostering appreciation for nature in visitors of all ages. He loved hunting, fishing, digging for clams, lobstering, camping and riding his bike along the Canal at Scusset Beach.
Bill is survived by his loving wife, Pamela Ann Creonte of Plymouth, her daughter Kimberly Weckbacher, and her husband Ted, and their two children, Teddy, his wife Allison, and Jo-Anna Weckbacher. He is also survived by his beloved sister Priscilla Winslow Anderson of Lakeville, and his daughter, Sarah Lynn Anderson of Plymouth.
Graveside services will take place on Thursday December18, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Vine Hills Cemetery, located at 102 Samoset Street, Plymouth. All who knew Bill are welcome to attend and celebrate his life and legacy.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions in Bill's memory to a local food pantry or animal shelter in your area. He always wanted to help someone out and help his furry friends.
He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
