This notice appeared for me because Google sends me an alert whenever my name is mentioned. Obviously, I am not the same Lori Bain who is a daughter of William W. Bain, but when I read his obituary, I just had to reach out and tell you all how sorry I am on the loss of someone who sounds like they were really extraordinary.

It also made me wonder if we're related in some distant capacity. I grew up on Long Island, NY, then lived in VA and now TX but have/had relatives in NJ.

I wish all of William's family peace and solace at this time.

Farewell my long time friend. Your longtime legacy of public service is legendary , you were a lifetime friend of my parents and a friend and compatriot of mine for 40 years. It was a pleasure to have worked under you these past 15 years . Despite butting heads often we got a lot accomplished in serving the public.
