William D. Bairefield of Walland, TN passed away at home on March 12, 2026. William was born in Mobile, AL on September 11, 1947. He worked for 40 years for Burlington Northern Railroad. William is currently a member of Seymour Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses. He is preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Geneva Christine “Chris” Bairefield; his parents Anthony and Kate Bairefield; and sisters Barbara and Jean. William is survived by his son Richard Bairefield; daughter Victoria Wild; grandsons Blake and Jayden; brother Anthony Bairefield; and numerous nieces and nephews. There will be service to remember William on Wednesday, March 18, 2026, 5pm at Seymour Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 420 Burnett Station Rd, Seymour, TN, 37865. “For I, Jehovah your God, am grasping your right hand, the One saying to you, ‘Do not be afraid. I will help you.’” – Isaiah 41:13 (New World Translation).
