William "Bill" Campbell Bannerman Jr., age 81 of Butler, Missouri died Saturday, November 22, 2025 at St. Joseph Medical Center in Kansas City, Missouri. He was born April 14, 1944 to William Campbell Bannerman Sr. and Helen Johnstone Roberts Bannerman in Edinburgh, Scotland. Bill is survived by two daughters, Rayne Chantel and Renee Bannerman both of Butler, Missouri; and former wife, Darlene Rosean.

Bill grew up on a farm in Indiana and later in life moved to Colorado. One of his first jobs was as a member of the Ski Patrol at Berthound Pass Ski Basin. He attended the Denver Automotive and Diesel College and spent his working career as a miner, mechanic and business owner. Bill retired in 2015 and moved to Butler where he volunteered at the Community Food Pantry of Butler until 2023. He was a member of the Missouri Archeology Society with his friend Susie Wood.

Bill had an enthusiasm for history and enjoyed collecting coins, guns, trains and classic cars. He also liked hunting, fishing or tending to his garden and growing tomatoes. Bill appreciated his quiet time–watching old war movies and letting a favorite cat curl up on his lap. He will be missed by his family, friends and neighbors.
