William J. Barbosa, Jr.

UXBRIDGE - William J. Barbosa, Jr., 83, passed away Thursday, Dec. 11, 2025 in Advinia Care, Northbridge.

William was born on January 15, 1942, the son of the late William J. and Julia (Drowne) Losardo. He was a devoted father to his children, William J. Barbosa III and his wife Lisa of Uxbridge, Beverlee J. Barbosa of Blackstone, and Karin L. Pinheiro and her husband Hugo of East Hartford, CT. His legacy continues through his two grandchildren, Robert Ravenelle and his wife Phylicia of Bellingham and Lauren Mussulli and her husband T.J. of Burrillville, RI; five great-grandchildren, Jace Ravenelle, Finn Ravenelle, Cecelia Mussulli, Eloise Mussulli, and Anthony Mussulli; his extended family, Elaine Barbosa and Tracey Bourque and many nieces and nephews. William was predeceased by his daughter, Brenda Barbosa, whose memory remained close to his heart.

A resident of Uxbridge for nearly 30 years, Billy dedicated his skills and labor as an assemblyman for General Motors in Framingham. He was also a member of the United Auto Workers Union.

Billy's interests were as unique as his personality. He had an unwavering love for Do Wop 50's music, often filling the room with the classic tunes that moved his soul. His passion for music was paralleled by his love for antique cars, a hobby that allowed him to connect with history and fellow enthusiasts alike. William's collection of vintage automobiles was more than a pastime; it was a reflection of his appreciation for craftsmanship and the beauty of a bygone era.

Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, December 23, 2025 from 3:30 - 5 PM in the Buma Funeral Home, 101 N. Main St., Rte. 122, Uxbridge followed by a funeral service at 5 PM in the funeral home.
