William (Bill) Ernest Beckett, age 92, of Beckley, WV, passed away on November 24, 2024. Born on February 14, 1932, in Beckley, he was the son of the late Clair and Moda Beckett.
Bill was a proud member of Mabscott Baptist Church and a dedicated employee of E.I. DuPont, where he worked for 28 years. He also proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. In his personal life, Bill enjoyed hunting with his family and cherished the time spent with his loved ones.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Patty J. (Reed) Beckett; his children, Debra Bellamy and husband Tim, Joey Beckett and wife Kim; his grandchildren, Kaitlynn Lei and husband Noah, Amanda Bellamy, Jonathan Beckett and wife Carlie, and Isaac Beckett; and his great-grandchildren, Raina Beckett, Emmett Beckett, Elora Beckett and Rebecca Lei.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents, and his siblings: Edward Beckett, Raymond Beckett, Mason Beckett, Wesley Beckett, Jimmy Beckett, Dempsey Beckett, Gertrude Beckett, and Jo-Ann Beckett.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, November 27, 2024, at Calfee Funeral Home with Pastors Doug Holley and Marty Stalnaker officiating. Friends may visit with the family from 11:30 AM until service time. Burial will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers: Joey Beckett, Tim Bellamy, Jonathan Beckett, Isacc Beckett, Michael Beckett, and Noah Lei.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Bowers Hospice House in his honor.
