On behalf of the USCGC Bibb Shipmates Association, we all extend our deepest sympathies to you and your family. We pray for peace and God’s Grace to surround you all.

I met Bill at our reunion in Portland, ME in 2015. After many calls and a few visits, Jimmy Tweed convinced him to come join us. Bill brought enough of his valves, gauges and stems to rebuild a boiler. All of us enjoyed meeting him and all the BTs and Firemen attending learned that they are never too old to learn something.

We will honor the Chief’s memory by reading his name aloud and striking the ship’s bell one time during our Crossed-the-Bar Memorial Service at our next reunion in Cape May, April of 2024. You and your family are welcome to attend. Simply reach out to us for details.

If we can provide any service to you, please do not hesitate to contact us. Being one of our members, you know we will be here for you. God bless.
