A TIME TO BE BORN
William Frederick Bevan was born on September 18, 1952 in Waynesboro GA. He is the first born of the late Frederick Edward Bevan of Highpoint NC, and Rosemary Kennedy of Augusta GA.
A TIME TO LIVE
In 1960 Bill moved to Ridgeland SC and grew up in Davant Plantation majority of his life. During the summers as a child, Bill would go and visit Saskatchewan Canada along with his siblings David and Cindi where his father Fred would raise dogs. In 1970 Bill graduated from Ridgeland High School. Later on he graduated from University of South Carolina in 1976 majoring in Spanish and Latin studies. In 1978 he moved to Statesboro GA, where he was married and had two boys. Eventually, Bill went back to college in Beaufort SC to receive his HVAC certification in 1992. He worked for Dean Custom Air from 1992-2004.
A TIME TO DIE
Prior to being ill, Bill lost his right leg in 2014 due to infection, even then he was still very independent and up and about. However, in 2025 he became very ill and was admitted to Trident Medical Center in Charleston SC. The final week of his life Bill was transported to Gainesville FL to be closer to his sons upon request. On Friday November 14 2025 William Bevan was called home to be with Lord. Philippians 3:21, "Who by the power that enables him to bring everything under his control, will transform our lowly bodies so that they will be like his glorious body"! Now he has a new body with no more sickness, free from pain, and suffering.
A TIME TO MOURN
This great man will be forever missed and his memory cherished. He is survived by his two children Patrick Edward and Christian Frederick , 6 grandchildren, Shamara, Gabriel, Liam, Savanna, Grayson and Georgee, and one great grandchild Honesty. He is survived by his sister Cindi Bevan, his niece Gillian Courtney, his nephew Paul Tuttle, and many other relatives and friends such as Tommy and Herbert Dean, and Edward Cooler.Bill was preceded by his brother David Bevan, Mother Rosemary Kennedy, Father Frederick, his grandparents.
A graveside service will be held at Gillisonville Baptist Church Cemetery on Saturday, November 29, 2025, at 12:30 PM.
