Billy was my cousin and one of my most treasured. One of my earliest memories of him was when Aunt Rose would babysit us younger 4 children, Billy who was a young man would take time to talk with us and laugh with us. He showed us how to open pistachio nuts. We sat on the wooden steps of his family home and tossed the empty shells out on the ground. He shared the whole package of red dyed pistachios with us. Billy was a kind and gentle soul. He loved his dog Champ and helped us to play with her. I recall a day when he and Aunt Rose were visiting our home. Dear sweet Champ was nearing the end of her life. He couldn´t leave her home alone so he layed her in the back seat of his little red VW bug and let me come to say goodbye to her. I was impressed by the tenderness he gave in her last days. Billy will always hold a special place in my heart and memories. My deepest sympathy to his children and grandchildren. Rest in peace Billy.

We called him Billy. He was the cool cousin in my eyes as a little child. Billy always had a beautiful smile. Family was important to him. Despite the age difference Billy never ignored us little ones.
I will never forget when he took us to ride in his red convertible. This was before seatbelt laws. We sat on the top of the back seat car packed with kids as he raced down the road. He didn´t know there was a dead end and `the gully´ just beyond. We screamed ,"stop!" and he did just before going over. lol! It was a thrill I will never forget.
More recently Billy was writing and sending me cards. It was a joy to have communication with him after so many years passed. We zoomed with a group of the Guanciale side of the family and his participation and using Italian words showed how proud he was of his Italian heritage. He had much to contribute to the group.
Billy will be missed but his memory will forever be near.
