William Charles Coleman, known as Bill, Sonny or Old Dad, age 83, of Hendersonville, Tennessee, passed away on August 24, 2024. Born on October 9, 1940, in Nashville, Tennessee, he was the son of the late Charles and Florence Coleman. Bill graduated from Goodlettsville High School and proudly served in the United States Navy for 4 years.

Bill had a deep love for football, NASCAR, and spending time in his garage, where he enjoyed working on lawnmowers and connecting with family and friends. His greatest joy, however, was his granddaughters, whom he adored with all his heart.

Bill is also preceded in death by his son, Darren Coleman, and his sister, Gayle Roberson.

He is survived by his devoted wife of 60 years, Judy Coleman; his daughter, Stacy Coleman Boyd (Jeff); and granddaughters, Whitney Whited, Blakely Whited (Austin Hale), and Rebekah Coleman Phelps (Trevor).

Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 31, 2024, from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Hendersonville Funeral Home, 353 E. Main St., Hendersonville, Tennessee. The funeral service will follow at 6:00 p.m. in the Chapel.
