William "Bill" M. Glass

William “Bill” Michael Glass, 79 of Borup, MN passed away on Saturday, January 25, 2025, at SMP Health - St. Catherine South, Fargo, ND.

Bill was born on May 11, 1945, in Moorhead, MN to William and Irene Brennan. He was later adopted by Leland “Ole” and Helen Glass. Helen later passed away and Ole married Agnes Johanson whom Bill became very close with. He grew up in Crookston and graduated from Central High School in 1963. He later enlisted in the Army and was assigned to water purification detail in Korea during the Vietnam War. On June 25, 1966, Bill married Carol Bratager in Nielsville, MN. 

Following his service, Bill joined the Iron Workers Union and traveled for various jobs throughout North Dakota, Minnesota and into Michigan. After retirement he and Carol made their home in Borup, MN. Bill enjoyed being outdoors, fishing, skiing and playing golf, and was an avid gardener. 

He is survived by his wife, Carol, and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his biological and adopted parents; sister, Lynne, and brother, Larry. 

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, January 30, 2025, at 11:00 AM with a visitation one hour before the service at Wright Funeral Home, Moorhead, MN.

Final resting place will be Salem Cemetery, Cummings, MN at a later date.
