William "Bill" Wayne Horsley, 64, of Braidwood, Illinois passed away peacefully at 12:22pm on October 21, 2025.
Born on March 18, 1961, Bill was the son of the late Floyd and Edith "Joyce" (Carter) Horsley. Bill had a lifelong passion for speed and craftsmanship. From racing dirt bikes and following NASCAR to creating stunning stained-glass pieces that reflected his artistic eye and patient hand. Bill always had a project in the works and never hesitated to lend a helping hand.
Bill is survived by his two daughters: Kaleigh (Steve) Chamberlain and Francine (Eric) Brown; his beloved grandchildren: Margaret, Theo, Nora, and Hattie Chamberlain; siblings: Daniel Horsley, Loreen (Randy) Kooi, Ronald Horsley, and Dean Horsley; as well as several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by his brother Frank "Ed" Horsley.
Cremation rites have been accorded and a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

Bill sang in my choir when he was in high school. He had a BEAUTIFUL bass singing voice and was someone that I could always count on to lend a hand when I needed help setting up the choral risers or just anything. I will always remember him very fondly as a talented, kind, and generous student during a time when I, a scared and nervous first year teacher, was struggling to establish myself at Reed-Custer H S back in the late 70's. Bill was one of the a positive forces in my young career that made me want to get up in the morning and go to work. I will never forget him or the impact he had on my life.

Bill was my nephew my sister Joyce's son . We have great memories of him when he was growing up. When he was in grade school he sang in the children's choir at Theodore Street Lutheran Church. He really had a beautiful voice. When our kids were growing up we shared many family reunions. We will always remember Bill as a fine young man.
