William (Bill) David Kinney departed this life peacefully on November 22, 2025, at the age of 84 in Mishawaka, Indiana. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Linda; his daughter, Lisa (Kurt); and his grandchildren, Alex and Niko. He was preceded in death by his parents, Myron and Margaret Kinney and his sister, Mary (Calvin).
Bill grew up in Champaign, Illinois where he attended the University of Illinois and pursued a career in sales and management. He served eight years in the U.S. Air Force Reserve in Aeromedical Evacuation with an honorable discharge. He married his beloved wife, Linda, in 1965, and together they raised their daughter, Lisa.
Bill enjoyed gardening, golfing, fishing, and collecting antiques. Friends and family remember his red 64 Plymouth with the 426 V8, his sense of humor, and his stories. He loved meeting new people and celebrating his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ at Christian Life Center.
A Celebration of Life will be held on December 17, 2025, at 10:30 AM at Christian Life Center in South Bend, Indiana. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Shriners Hospitals for Children or Christian Life Center in Bill’s memory.
Bill’s kindness and love for his family will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew him.
