William L. "Bill" Steele Jr., age 70 of Nixa, Missouri, went to meet his heavenly father on January 21st, 2024. He was born July 4th, 1953 in Hutchinson, Kansas to William L Steele Sr. and Dorlene Elsa Radke Steele.
As a child, Bill attended school in Dodge City, Kansas. He graduated from Dodge City High School in 1971.
Bill worked as an Automotive Service Manager for the Chevrolet Dealer in Dodge City, Kansas before moving to Ness City, in 1980, where he worked for Hembree Well Service as a Rig Operator. William continued to work in the Oil industry for almost 20 years until November of 1996, when he moved to Ozark, Missouri to work for Heavy Duty Rebuilders Supply. He worked there for over 26 years until his death.
William was an extremely hard worker and provider. He loved his work, and he loved taking care of his family.
Though he worked hard, he found time to play as well. William was a lover of the outdoors, and he liked things that went fast. He was an avid gun collector, fisherman, hunter, motorcyclist and boat enthusiast to name a few.
Family was extremely important to him, one of his most valuable gifts was his ability to make each of his loved ones feel important, and feel safe.
He was a strong man, and had a lot of class, style, grace, and a contagious smile. William was rough and stoic on the outside, but soft and tender on the inside. Toward the end of his life, he wanted nothing more than for his loved ones to be happy and close by.
