William Blinn

William Robert Blinn, age 77 of Loudon, Tennessee passed away September 22, 2025.
Bill was a member of Christ Our Savior Lutheran Church, Loudon, TN where he was active in many ministries. He was also a long time member of St. Peter Lutheran Church in Schaumburg, IL. In their retirement years, Bill and L. J. moved to Tellico Village.
He was a man who found joy in life's simplest pleasures, often sitting on the front porch, content to watch the world go by. With a smile that could light up a room and a ready joke or kind word for anyone who passed, he never met a stranger. Friendly and genuine, he had a gift for making people feel welcome, seen, and loved.
More than anything, he was devoted to his faith. His belief in Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior guided every part of his life. He lived out his faith in the way he treated others-with kindness, humility, and grace. He carried a true servant's heart, always ready to lend a hand, offer encouragement, or put the needs of others before his own. His trust in God gave him peace, strength, and a joy that he shared freely with all.
Loved by family, friends, and neighbors alike, he leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, service, and unwavering faith. His life was a reminder to slow down, cherish the simple moments, and walk daily with Christ.
Preceded in death by his parents Ellsworth and Eloise Blinn and niece Abbe Fath.
Survivors include his wife, L. J.; son, Matthew (Jamie); daughter, Kristen; grandchildren Mary, Evan, Kate, Anna, Clare Blinn; brother Randall (Candi); sister Renee; nieces Emily (Cameron) Doane, Bess Wiersema; nephew Brian Wiersema; brother-in-law Richard Wiersema and sister-in-law Susan Wiersma.
Services will be held on October 4, 2025 with visitation at 1pm and funeral service at 2pm at St. Peter Lutheran Church in Schaumburg, IL with Rev. Chad Bolosan officiating, and on October 18, 2025 at 11am at Christ Our Savior Lutheran Church in Loudon, TN with Rev. Mark Rhoads officiating.
