Dr. Bill Borden, 74, of Moulton, Alabama passed away Monday, October 7, 2024, at his residence. Visitation will be from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Tuesday, October 08, 2024, at Lawrence Funeral Home. The funeral service will be at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, October 9, 2024, at Lawrence Funeral Home with Charles Williams officiating. Burial will be at Pine Torch Cemetery.
Born on September 23, 1950, to Manie and Audrey England Borden, Dr. Bill graduated from Birmingham Southern and UAB School of Dentistry. Dr. Bill opened Borden Family Dentistry in 1976, and was in practice for 25 years, of which 24 of those years he was in practice with his brother, Dr. Charles Borden. After his retirement from his practice he was the Lead Dentist at the Fortis Institute in Birmingham. Dr. Bill was loved by all of his students and patients that knew him. In his free time Bill enjoyed gardening, deer hunting, and playing with his grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Suzan Borden; two children, Brandy (Dakota) Borden and Cody (Melissa) Borden; four grandchildren, Peyton Borden, Jul Calhoun, Maverick Calhoun, and Hailey Mei Borden; two sisters, Betty (William) Lee and Vicki (Tommy) Hill; two brothers, Dr. Charles (Anna) Borden and Docky (Carmen) Borden; six nieces, Mandy (Blake) Terry, Sommer Borden, Sandi Smith, Mary Muse, Donna Graham, and Valerie Haynes; one nephew, Joey Lee; special friends, Steve Wallace, Billy Borden, and Vicki Lauderdale; and pets, Biscuit and Sadie.
Dr. Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Manie and Audrey Borden; one brother, Manie Borden Jr.; one brother-in-law, William Lee; and his beloved pet, Saban.
Pallbearers will be Docky Borden, Dr. Charles Borden, Blake Terry, Dakota Calhoun, Tommy Hill, and Billy Borden.
The family extends special thanks to the nurses and staff at Southern Care New Beacon Hospice, and especially nurse, Autumn Cross. The family would also like to thank Dr. Heather Brody and staff at Clearview Cancer Institute.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Pine Torch Church Fund 627 Lawrence St. Moulton, AL 35650.
