December, 2015, Marine Corps Veteran William "Bill" Boyd steps-up to continue service to both his community as well as Brother and Sister Marines by joining the Marine Corps League ..."Heart of Florida" Detachment-1107 operating out of Winter Haven Florida to be specific.
In April of 2019, and for the next two years, "Bill" assumed the prestigious, but highly demanding position as Commandant of the Heart of Florida detachment... the 9th Commandant in a long stretch that presently extends to 13 such men and women holding the Title.
As such, Bill has passed the torch of Brotherly Wisdom and Devotion to causes always considered to be Greater than Oneself. And to that, we wish you God's Speed, Dear Brother.
