My dearest friend Bob, turned every conversation into a celebration and every moment into a reason to give thanks.
For thirty-five years, Bob was the heartbeat of our enduring friendship that began in the bustle of a call center. He had a gift for making everyone feel like the brightest star in the room-often teasing me that I "knew how to work a room by telling everyone they were the best." Our phone calls always closed with the same playful, heartfelt ritual:
"You´re the best."
"No, you´re the best."
"I love you the most."
"No, I love you the MOST."
Love wasn´t saved for special occasions; it was spoken freely, every single time.
Bob´s humor was legendary. He carried an endless vault of jokes, delivered with perfect timing and infectious joy. Even when he´d pause and ask, "Have I told you this one before?" the answer was always, "Yes, but tell me again." Laughter followed him everywhere, and he left it behind like breadcrumbs for the rest of us to follow.
Kind, warm, and deeply faithful, Bob saw God´s hand in everything. A parking spot right in front of the pharmacy? A quiet thank-you to the "Big Guy upstairs". The grand milestones and the smallest daily graces-he met them all with gratitude and a smile.
Music was another language he spoke fluently. He´d light up sharing stories of his favorite bands, cueing up songs on YouTube and inviting everyone into the joy of a perfect riff or heartfelt lyric.
Above all, Bob cherished his beloved Estelle-his "Preshie." He loved recounting the moment they met, how her kindness and caring heart captured him instantly. For years, he returned that care tenfold, tending to her with devotion, tenderness, and unwavering love.
Bob wasn´t just loved-he was love in motion. A friend who lifted spirits, a husband who cherished deeply, a soul who thanked God for every breath. Though he is gone, his jokes still echo, his "I love you the most" still rings, and his light continues to warm every heart he touched.
Rest easy, dear Bob. You were the best-and you loved us the MOST.
