Dr. William Garnett "Billy" Breeding

Dr. William "Billy" Garnett Breeding, retired local dentist, passed away on Tuesday, May 27 in Lexington, Kentucky at the age of 74. A native of Monticello, Kentucky, he was born May 14, 1951, the son of Billy and Lucy Back Breeding who preceded him in death.
Dr. Breeding graduated from Monticello High School, a member of the Class of 1969. He was a proud graduate of Centre College and the University of Louisville School of Dentistry. He practiced dentistry for 36 years and served the community on the Wayne County Board of Health most of that time. Dr. Breeding was a longtime member of First Christian Church where, at various times, he was Sunday School Superintendent, song leader, deacon, and part of the
audio/visual team.
Survivors include his wife Sue Ellen Harris Breeding, daughter Mary Garnett Zollner (Chris), son William Harris Breeding (Taylor), grandchildren Mason Zollner, Reagan Judd, William "Liam" Harris Breeding, II and Lucy Harper Breeding, brother Dr. Robert Martin Breeding, and other extended family members.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, June 3, 2025, from 11 AM – 2 PM at First Christian Church in Monticello, KY. Funeral services will follow at First Christian Church at 2 PM. Burial will be in the Elk Spring Cemetery.
