William A. Brindle, 96, of Chambersburg, PA, passed away on Wednesday, January 28, 2026, at Providence Place Senior Living. Born September 25, 1929 in Pleasant Hall, PA, he was the son of the late Alfred Oliver and Erma Keefer Brindle. His beloved wife, Eleanor Jane Stoner Brindle, whom he married on December 26, 1953, preceded him in death on September 22, 2024.

William was a 1947 graduate of the former Chambersburg High School. A US Air Force veteran, he served honorably during the Korean War. William was employed as a financial consultant at Letterkenny Army Depot for 34 years until his retirement. He and his wife were members of Solomon’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Chambersburg. He was also a life member of the American Legion Post 0612 in St. Thomas, PA. William enjoyed golfing, watching the Dallas Cowboys, and visits with his grandchildren.

He is survived by two children, Randy Brindle and wife Jimmye of Oldsmar, FL, and Susan Ferris of Frederick, MD; four grandchildren, Randye Lee Brindle of Oldsmar, FL, Jessye LaCamera and husband David of TX, Neddy Ferris and wife Victoria of North East, MD, and Holly Ferris (fiancé Brent Nenninger) of Frederick, MD; and two siblings, Mae Divelbiss of Chambersburg, and Donald Brindle (wife Iva) of Williamsport, MD. Aside from his parents and wife, William was preceded in death by three brothers, Kenneth, Melvin and Harold Brindle.

Services and interment will be private. Arrangements are entrusted to the Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, Chambersburg, PA. Condolences and memories may be shared at geiselfuneralhome.com.
