William Wall “Bill” Brooks. May 20, 1947- January 27, 2026

Bill Brooks passed away peacefully on January 27, 2026, into his eternal home with Jesus at the age of 78.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Norma Brooks, and his sisters, Peggy Holt and Marilynne Highduchek. He is survived by his wife, Willadeen Brooks, children, Vic (Elina) Brooks, Nicole (Wes) Phelps, step-daughter Michelle (Rodney) Duckett; grand-children Claire and Tyler Phelps; Sophie Brooks;step-grandchildren Ryan Duckett and Miranda Duckett; great-granddaughter Aubrey Duckett, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Bill, being an avid gardener, earned his Master Gardener's Badge, spending his retirement years enjoying working and gardening in the yard. Bill was an ordained minister and loved serving his church, Mt. Olivet Baptist, as a Sunday School teacher and in the children's ministry. Bill was also an Air Force veteran, having served in the Vietnam War.

A memorial service will be held on January 31st at Mt. Olivet Baptist Church to honor his life with Rev. Rodney Duckett officiating. Visitation is scheduled 11 am-1 pm; Memorial Service following at 1 pm.

The Brooks family thanks each of you for your love, prayers, and support during this difficult time.
