William “Bill” A. Burton, beloved father, grandfather, uncle and brother, passed away June 12, 2024 after a battle with esophageal cancer. He was 81.
Born in Los Angeles on August 25, 1942, he was the 4th of 5 children. He developed a huge passion for motorcycles at the age of 14 something he would carry throughout his lifetime. His last race was in Perris at the age of 78.
Bill joined the Marine Corp in 1960 at the age of 18. After discharge, he met his wife Diane Kay, and they were married 6 weeks later (July 5, 1963.) The family moved to Camarillo in 1977. She passed away on October 19, 2011.
He was an active retiree, working on motorcycles and developing a great talent for painting. He met his life partner JJ in bereavement support group. She is also a very talented painter and artist.
A memorial service will take place at Perez Family Funeral Home, 1347 Del Norte Rd. in Camarillo on July 27 from 1-4 p. m.
