It saddens me to hear Billy has left us. I have many memories from my childhood dancing while Uncle Horace (Bobby) and cousin Billy playing music. As a young girl Billy's musical abilities wowed me because he was so young playing drums in a grown up band. I have visions of his ever present big smile, the Army man, and as I grew I'd go see him still playing music with Donna Meade. Then Billy the daddy and oh he loved that precious Angela. Time quickly escapes us and now he is gone and will be welcomed by his parents, our grandparents, my mother, and God Almighty.

I was deeply saddened to learn of Billy Butler's passing. Billy was such a warm, tenderhearted person with one of the greatest smiles I ever saw. He was a good friend and a terrific musician, and some of the fondest memories I have of playing music around the country was when Billy was our band's drummer. May he rest in peace, and may his family find comfort in knowing that Billy was loved and will be missed by many.

I grew up listening to Bobby Butler and the Dixie Ramblers. My mother and father ran "Trailways Inn" and they played there on Saturday nights.
My prayers are with your family at this time of loss.
