William "Bill" Schneider

William "Bill" Schneider passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, on December 14, 2025.

Bill was born on October 14, 1948, to Wally and Virginia Schneider and grew up in Superior, Montana. From an early age, he developed a strong work ethic, a love for the outdoors, and friendships that lasted a lifetime. Many of his happiest days were spent hiking the mountains, hunting, and gathering with family and friends at Cedar Creek, especially at "Schneider's Cabin."

He graduated from Superior High School in 1966 and earned his degree from the University of Montana in 1970. On March 7, 1981, Bill married his forever bride in Superior, MT. Together, they built a life rooted in the community they loved. Their greatest joy came with the birth of their daughter, Sheila, on August 5, 1986-Bill's pride and joy.

Bill began his career owning and operating Superior Chevrolet alongside his family. After closing the dealership, he launched Schneider's Inc., following his passion for motorcycles. He designed and developed custom parts for BMW motorcycles, attended rallies across the Northwest, and formed lasting friendships with fellow riders. Bill was happiest when building, fixing, or improving something.

For decades, his mornings started at 5:00 a.m. with coffee and conversation with his mom, solving the world's problems before breakfast. He spoke weekly with his sister-sometimes teasing her about her "drill sergeant" demeanor-and often called his daughter on Thursdays just to catch up.

Bill loved the Montana woods, riding motorcycles, and watching drag racing-especially cheering on John Force in his Funny Car. He valued time with family and friends, whether sharing stories or lending a helping hand, and he was rarely without a loyal dog by his side.

Known for his dry sense of humor, Bill had a knack for catching you off guard-making you pause, then laugh. His quick wit, sharp mind, engineering skills, and love of gadgets were qualities he proudly passed down to his oldest grandson.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Wally and Virginia Schneider. He is survived by his loving wife; his daughter, Sheila (Scott) Bremer; his three wonderful grandchildren, Malia, Callen, and Landon; his sister, Virginia Conrad; and many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends who will miss him greatly.
