William Campbell Obituary
Bill was born in Louisville to the late William and Margaret Campbell. He graduated from Trinity High School, class of 1959 and from Bellarmine College in 1964. Bill retired from Vendome Copper and Brass Works. He was a long-time member of St. Barnabas Catholic Church before becoming a member of St. Martha Catholic Church. Bill was loved by many as a husband, dad, Papaw, friend, teacher, coach, mentor, and just an all-around great guy.
He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Charlie Campbell; and sister, Patsy Fussenegger.
Carrying on Bill's legacy are his wife of 59 years, Dorytha "Dot" Sherman Campbell; daughters, Dee Sheeran (Chris), Cristie Nichols (Keith), Brenda Perkins (Bill), and Alison Dahlgren (Todd); 16 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; and sister, Peggy Wuertz.
Visitation for Bill will be from 2-7 PM on Sunday, April 28 at Ratterman & Sons Funeral Home, 3800 Bardstown Road. Funeral Mass will be at 10 AM on Monday, April 29 at St. Martha Catholic Church, 2825 Klondike Lane, with burial to follow at Calvary Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
