William (Bill) F. Carlson Jr.
July 2, 1948 – September 25, 2024
William F. Carlson Jr., age 76, passed away on September 25, 2024, in Bay City, Michigan, the place of his birth and where he spent much of his life.
Bill lived a full and adventurous life. He married Pam, on March 13, 1969, and they spent a lifetime together, building cherished memories. Early in their marriage, Bill and Pam lived in Anchorage, Alaska, where he was stationed during his time in the Army.
Bill retired from Saginaw Steering Gear after 30 years of service. He and Pam enjoyed vacationing, taking cruises and even took a memorable cross-country motorcycle trip. His love for adventure extended to a variety of hobbies, including motorcycle riding, bowling, sailing, hunting, water skiing, archery, and captivating friends and family with his storytelling.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 55 years, Pam, their son Bill (Betty) and daughter Cindy Goss (Josh), as well as his four grandchildren: Jacob Goss, Andrew Goss, Deanna Arnott and Donovan Wayman. Bill also leaves behind four sisters: Jackie Sprague (Paul), Janet Wisniewski (Steve), Julie Delestowicz (Mark) and Jane Cody (Ron), nieces and nephews and his brother-in-law and good friend Harry Cole. He was preceded in death by his parents, William Sr. and Veronica Carlson, and his two infant siblings, Michael and Mary.
The family would like to thank Dr. Brown for his advice and compassion. Also thank you to the staff at Fresenius Kidney Care for the wonderful care they provided. A private family service will be held in his honor, officiated by Pastor Eric Kieb.
