My deepest sympathy to Billy's family and friends for your loss. I've always remembered Billy as a exceptional son and brother with a great sense of humor and a lover of music. He is now reunited with his Dad.

Oh Billy,
I will always remember you as a "little kid" on the swim team. You were such a cute freckled faced kid with an adorable grin and the ability to charm your way out of anything. I don´t think I ever met you as an adult so that is how you will live on in my mind and heart.
My condolences to Billy´s wife and children.
To his siblings (Nancy, Lynn, Jimmy, and Joyce), please know that you are in my thoughts and prayers. Almost everyone who grew up in Gardner during our era knew one of you, and some of us were lucky enough to know all of you. When I think of your family I think of love and laughter. It makes me sad to learn that you have all suffered another loss.

I went to grammar school with Bill; Stop and Cop Records, and Buff's Pub in Newton. That was the last time I saw him. Great guy with a real sense of humor. Knew his music well and followed his passion. RIP Bill

Oh Billy, Billy, Billy..... it was a pleasure to know you and to work with you at Polygram. You were one of the good ones, always with a smile, always aware of the irony of our condition. I was very sad to hear of your passing, which seems so unfair - somebody like you who brings light and kindness into the world should live a very long life. I hope somewhere in the cosmic calculation there is a reason for you leaving so soon. Thank you for the smile you brought to my face every single time I interacted with you - McD

"We´re all just walking each other home." See you "down the road" Billy. No doubt, there will be some cool tunes playing in the backdrop. Much Love, Chrissy

I send my love to Alicia, and all of Bill´s wonderful family.

To put it simply, Bill was a gift. He was a gift to this world, a gift to his friends and family, and his presence will be felt for years to come.

Bill was one of the greatest humans I have had the gift of knowing. His love for his friends was immense, and the depth of his heart was endless. I owe so much to Bill for being there for me, and my family so many times, and I am eternally grateful for the gift that God gave me in having Bill as a dear friend. I´m going to miss him so much, but I know he is in a better place. I´m going to spend the rest of my days trying to be like Bill would to everyone. This world needs more Bill Carroll´s!

Love,
Ryan
