Our dear friend Bill was a gentle, caring husband and father to Judy and their children, first, and his Orchard, second. It was a privilege to know Bill and be a special part of his life through our many years of deep friendship. We met at the beginning of the Agritourism effort for NC tourism, and indeed, Bill was an immense part of that with the Orchard he and sister Kit bought, sustained, and loved. We will miss him. Our love to his siblings, grandchildren and thousands of the friends of the Orchard at Altapass on the Blue Ridge Parkway. Rest in peace with Judy, Bill.
