Mr. William Duncan Carter, 79 passed away on Thursday, February 05, 2026 at his home.
Graveside service will be held at 3:00 PM Monday, February 9, 2026 at Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM Sunday, February 8, 2026 at the funeral home.
William was born in Cumberland County to the late William Wesley Carter and Maebelle Jackson Carter. In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by his wife, Edna Joyce Carter; brother, Neil Joseph Carter; and his sister, Haskill Mae Johnson.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his daughter, Mary Jackson and husband, Richard; son, William “Andy” Carter and wife, Martha; grandchildren, Kirsten Carter, Michael Silvey, III, and Joshua Silvey; great grandchildren, Zachary, Levi, Adley, Athena, Saylor and Waylon.
