Age: 78 of Cherry Hill, formerly of Haddonfield
William passed away after a long and difficult battle with Dementia and Parkinson's Disease. William was the devoted husband of Julie (nee Scollan) for 55 years; cherished father of Scott Chalbert; and adoring grandfather of Emily and Olivia Chalbert.
William was a Naval Veteran and served his country for two tours during the Vietnam War on the USS Ramsey Destroyer. William finished his working career at the Vineland Veteran Home as an accountant his last 18 years.
William will be remembered as a loving husband, a wonderful and supportive father and a wonderful grandfather to his grandchildren. William was a kind, funny, smart and compassionate person that will be missed by many.
William's family will receive friends on Saturday, May 10 th from 10:10:45am at Kain-Murphy Funeral Services, 15 West End Ave., Haddonfield, NJ; where his funeral service will immediately follow at 11am. Internet private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in honor of William may be made to Haddonfield United Methodist Church, 29 Warwick RD, Haddonfield, NJ 08033.
