William "Bill" Cherewick

William Cherewick, aged 66, passed away on January 9, 2026. Born on August 1, 1959 as the youngest of eight children, He will be loved & fondly remembered by son Paul, daughter Mary as well as his surviving siblings Jim, Dan, Kath, Mary, and Sue.
Bill was deeply devoted to his family, with a particular love for food and football. He will be cherished for his presence behind the grill during summer pool gatherings and his lively garage get-togethers during the winter to watch the Lions. His guiding principle was, "Love what you do and you'll never work a day in your life"-a philosophy he embodied throughout his esteemed career in the food service industry in the metro Detroit area for over 30 years.
In addition to his professional achievements, Bill enjoyed fishing trips, spending time at Lake Leelanau, comedy, and visiting casinos, with MGM downtown being his favorite.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Dan and Celia Cherewick, beloved sisters Patty & Bis.
A memorial visitation for William will take place on Saturday, January 17, 2026 from 10am-12pm, followed by a memorial service all held at Charles R.
