He was the son of the late William "Buster" Clark and Mae Rose Taylor Clark of Port Royal, SC.
In addition to his parents, four brothers, Benjamin, Leroy, Raymond and Thomas preceded him in death. He was a 1973 graduate of Beaufort High School.
Survivors are his children Angela Rose Clark and William Eric Clark, Ill and their mother Laurie Clark all of Seaside, California, and his siblings Katie (Walter) Murray, Shelia Clark, Barbara Clark and Elijah "Jimmy" (Freda) Clark.
A memorial service celebrating the life of Command Sergeant Major Clark will be held on Saturday, November 29th at 10 a.m. at the Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church 1441 Ribaut Road, Port Royal, SC
