William "Bill" Conway

November 1, 1945 - November 16, 2025

William L. "Bill" Conway, 80, passed away peacefully on November 16, 2025, surrounded by family. Born November 1, 1945, in Spokane, he moved to Billings in 1959, where he met his future wife, Linda Sommers; the two married in 1967 and built a life filled with love, raising daughters Kirsten and Katie, and later welcoming numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Bill graduated from Billings Central in 1964, served honorably in the U.S. Air Force from 1966–1970, and completed his degree at MSUB in 1972. He worked for Ryan Grocery/Supervalu for 26 years and Information Resources for 10 more, and he cherished time spent traveling, golfing, fishing, and gathering with family. Bill is survived by Linda; his daughters and their families, many grandchildren, great-grandchildren; his sister, Mary Lou. He was preceded in death by his parents and other beloved relatives. The family expresses deep gratitude to those who cared for Bill and welcomes memorial donations to the Alzheimer's Foundation, St. Pius X Church, or Compassus Hospice. A memorial service will be held on Friday November 21st at 11:00 a.m. at St. Pius Catholic Church with interment to follow.
