William Copeland Obituary
William "Tef" Copeland, 84, of Town Creek, passed away Monday, July 22, 2024 at his residence. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM on Wednesday, July 24, 2024 at Lawrence Funeral Home. The graveside service will follow at 12:00 PM on Wednesday, July 24, 2024 at Elmwood Cemetery with Shane Burney officiating.
Born on November 22, 1939 to the late William and Maye Lansdell Copeland, Tef graduated from Hazelwood High School and served as a Deacon at First Baptist Church of Town Creek. He was an avid hunter and loved the outdoors.
Survivors include his daughter, Charlotte Chan Copeland; sister, Judy (Waymon) Bain; brother, Terrell (Diane) Copeland; and several nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Tef was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Peggy Copeland; and sister, June Burney.
Pallbearers will be Gary Liles, Johnny Bain, Joey Bain, Todd South, Hunter Braund, and Jackie Brackin. Honorary pallbearers are Scottie Smith, Richard Allen, and Randy Letson.
The family extends special thanks to LaShane Fuller, Bridget Parker, and Amedisys Hospice for their wonderful care of Tef.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a favorite charity.
