My husband, Marion Reid, and I got to know Bill when he was doing the precision carpentry for our Johns Island house, which later won a prestigious AIA award. Bill was kind and patient with our young children who were often underfoot and he had a great sense of subtle, good humor. It makes me sad that such a fine man is gone. Sincerely,
