William F. "Rick" Cox, Jr., age 74, of Edinburg, passed away July 14, 2025, at his residence.
Born November 2, 1950, in New Castle, he was the son of William F. Cox, Sr. and Patricia (Mack) Cox.
After his 1968 graduation from Mohawk High School, he attended Geneva College, graduating in 1972.
Rick is survived by his wife of 52 years, Sue (Bazuin) Cox, whom he married June 8, 1973.
Rick served the Lord with gladness in everything he did. He had a love of music and taught high school band and choir, directed church choirs, and led music at Camp Lambec.
Together, Rick and Sue owned and operated Pine Hills Market in Frizzleburg with the Cox family, as well as the R & S Country Market in Mt. Jackson. He was a championship winning chainsaw carver for the past 15 years.
In addition to his parents, Rick was preceded in death by his sister, Peggy Cox.
Along with his wife, he is survived by their three children, Rachel (Steve) Yeager, Joshua (Brittany) Cox, and Mark Cox, all of Edinburg, in addition to twelve grandchildren.
A Memorial Service will be held Wednesday, July 23, at Nashua Orthodox Presbyterian Church, 6893 State Route 551, Edinburg, Pa. 16116. Visitation will be at 1pm followed by the service at 2 pm. There will also be a time for visiting and refreshments in the fellowship hall after the service.
Memorial contributions may be made to Nashua Church or the City Rescue Mission.
