Do not stand at my grave and weep
I am not there. I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow.
I am the diamond glints on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain.
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush
I am the swift uplifting rush Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry;
I am not there. I did not die.

My condolences for your loss. I didn´t know Bill, but his obituary popped up unannounced...no doubt because we shared the name. I told my wife that I hoped that someone would write such a wonderful remembrance about me some day. The description of a wonderful, happy, fun-loving man with a sense of humor and a quirky side made me smile. His dedication to family and faith filled me with a true sense of his character. And...his name aside, it reminded me of me. I pray that the Lord provides your family comfort during this difficult time. God bless.

Captain Crow was one of the best Commanding Officers I had the honor of serving with. I will always remember him for his support of the Fire Dept. , visiting us at the fire station, bringing the food for a cookout, and watching Kentucky basketball. Rest easy sir, we will miss you....
