William Lewis Crowder, a loving father and devoted family man, passed away peacefully on February 15, 2026, at Ridgewood Manor. Born on December 1, 1942, in Murphy, North Carolina, William lived a life marked by dedication and compassion, leaving an incredible mark on all who knew him.

William served in the U.S. Army, a testament to his commitment to his country and community. After his service, he found his calling as a truck driver for Shaw, a role that allowed him to meet many people and share his warmth with those around him. He took great pride in his work, pouring his heart into every journey he undertook.

His faith was central to his life, guiding his actions and inspiring others. William's Christian values shaped him into a nurturing father, dedicated to ensuring that his children and grandchildren were raised with love and integrity. His spirit resonated with those who were fortunate enough to experience his kindness, and he cherished every moment spent with his family.

He leaves behind his beloved son, Matthew (LaTrisha) Crowder, along with his cherished grandchildren: Christian Crowder, Nolan Crowder, Macie Crowder, Andy Crowder, and Jessica Wilson. William adored his grandchildren and celebrated their accomplishments with pride. His legacy continues through them, and the love he instilled in their lives will carry forward for generations.

William is also survived by his dear brother, T.J. (Rhonda) Crowder, and his beloved sister, Minnie Kay (Bud) Allen, who will remember him not only as a brother but as a source of strength and comfort in their lives. In addition, four great-grandchildren also survive, further enriching the tapestry of their family lineage.

He is preceded in death by his cherished parents, Reverend Lloyd Crowder and Icie Crowder, whose guidance and love laid the foundation for the man William became. He was also reunited with his daughters who have passed, including Arlen Wilson, Mary Wilson, son, Roger Crowder, siblings, Tom Crowder, Alphus Crowder, John Crowder, Julius Crowder, Lloyd Jr., Maddie Earley, Maggie Migliara, Linetta White, and Martha White. Their memories will forever remain in the hearts of their family.

William Lewis Crowder will be remembered for his unwavering faith, loving nature, and the joy he brought to those around him. He has left behind a legacy rich in love, family bonds, and cherished memories that will be treasured forever. His kind spirit and gentle soul will be sorely missed but never forgotten.
