William Stephen D’Auria

William Steven D'Auria, age 65, passed away in the early hours of Friday, September 8, 2023. Bill was born in Montclair, New Jersey on July 7, 1958, the 7th child of Henry and Joan D'Auria. He spent his early childhood in Brookfield, Wisconsin, the family having moved there when Bill was 2. After a brief stay in Naperville, Illinois the family settled in Creve Coeur, Missouri in 1969, where Bill graduated from Parkway North High School. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Public Administration with a minor in History from Doane University in 1980 and a Master of Business Administration from Maryville University in 1991. Bill worked 30 years at Edward Jones, eventually leaving to pursue his interest in providing support for those less fortunate. Over the last 9 years he worked to empower people with intellectual and developmental disabilities through Easter Seals Midwest, St. Louis ARC, and Bellefontaine Habilitation Center. Bill also served as an assistant supervisor on the St. Louis County Board of Elections While attending Doane Bill was a member of the Doane Players theater group.
He was also a long standing member of the Holy Trinity Catholic Church choir and the Knights of Columbus. He was always kind and considerate; placing others' needs above his own.Bill loved history and had a remarkable talent for remembering historic dates and events. Bill expressed his faith in Jesus for his salvation and lived it out. He loved chocolate, Star Trek, NCIS, and Big Bang Theory.
Bill is survived by the love of his life, his wife Theresa, children Justin and Felicia (Richard) Strong, grandchildren Paisley Marie and Carson, siblings Patricia D'Auria, Jim (Pauline) D'Auria, Bobbi Schuessler, Tom D'Auria, Eileen (Greg) Stone, Jackie (Carl Roland) D'Auria and Mary Ann (Scott) Stroven. He was a wonderful uncle to many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Henry D'Auria, mother Joan Marie Coen(D'Auria) Desideri, and step-father Gino Jim Desideri.
Visitation will be at 9 AM and Funeral mass will be held at 10 AM, September 15 at The Church of the Annunziata, 9305 Clayton Road, St. Louis. The service can be viewed at www.annunziate.org Burial will be at Sacred Heart Cemetery, 980 Graham Road, Florissant.
