Bill was born on September 03, 1941 in Northampton County, NC to the late William Randolph and Dorothy Wheeler Davis. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Navy and worked as a carpenter for Norshipco in Norfolk, VA. Following his retirement, he moved to Scotland Neck, NC in 2016 and enjoyed fishing and spending time with his beloved dog, Sugar.
Bill is survived by his significant other, Wanda S. Crumpler; his daughters, Valerie J. West of Nags Head and Jennifer Davis of Florida; his sons, John Davis of Hampton, VA and Jeffery Davis of Suffolk, VA; his brother, Kenneth Davis of Smithfield, VA; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
A celebration of life service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 26, 2025 at Garrett-Sykes Funeral Service - Letchworth Chapel in Scotland Neck, with the Rev. Dusty Sprouse officiating. A private burial will follow at the Crumpler Family Cemetery.
