William R. Dearth

William Russell Dearth, 54, of Loves Park, Il passed away on Wednesday, January 24, 2023 in his home. He was born on October 7, 1969 in Freeport to Thomas and Donna (Hargis) Dearth. William was an accomplished chef and worked as such for the majority of his life. He served his country as a member of the Marine Corps during Desert Storm. William loved his dogs, Carley and Tullulah and enjoyed spending time building models and taking care of his aquariums and exotic fish.
He is survived by his children, Virginia and Adam Dearth of Kalamazoo, Michigan and Morgan Krupke of Apple River, IL; father and step-mother, Thomas and Cheryl Dearth of Freeport, IL; siblings Steven Dearth (Sherry Tolliver Hedrick) of Raleigh, NC, Kathleen Lantz (Brett) of Lugoff, SC, Melissa Korte of Hillsboro, OR, Lyndsay Dearth (Markel Palmer) of Freeport, IL and Ashley Dearth of Freeport, IL; 3 grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Preceding William in death are his mother Donna Dearth and his brother James Dearth.
Services will be held on Wednesday, January 31, 2024 at Burke-Tubbs Funeral Home. A visitation will be held at 4:00 PM on Wednesday, January 31, 2024 with a prayer service following at 5:30 PM. Cremation rites will be accorded following the service with interment at Oakland Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established in his name.
