William P. "Bill" DeBoer

We are so sorry to hear about Bill's passing. Marlene and Bill were with us in the hospital when my dad passed 29 years ago and I will always remember that. I was always a little afraid of Bill when I was young, but I came to see he was a big sweetheart who loved to tease others. I will always remember bringing my kids for trick or treating and how he joked with them and teased them lovingly. One year, Jenna was dressed as Sara Evans and Bill made her sing a song for her candy, which I think she secretly liked doing. Then he praised her when she was done. It was sweet. Doug and I like to think both sets of our parents are welcoming Bill to heaven and that they all got to have a great celebration. Wishing all of you peace and comfort at this hard time.
