William Allan "Will" Deering

I have never known a more humble man than Will. He never thought of himself, instead choosing to serve others each and every day. He was something special and this world will not be the same without him. Rest easy Will! The Ewtons love you guys!

I held him in my arms minutes after his birth. I fell in love with this precious gift from God and have loved Will every moment of every day of his life. I will always remember his big smile, his twinkling eyes and joyful laugh, his determination to become a police officer.and his joy at achieving his life long dream. I will always remember his love for his family and the joy he expressed when he married Vannessa as with the birth of each child. He loved deeply and completely. He was the best of all men. Rest in Peace my beloved Nephew.

Will was a beautiful soul from the moment he was born. As a first born to my Uncle Mark and Aunt Fran, and the first grandson to my grandparents, he brought immense joy to our family. I have so many memories with Will, starting from a very young age. For a long time, there were just the four of us cousins, and we were inseparable. We did everything together making precious memories we talked about and laughed about each time we would all gather over the years.

One of my favorite memories is camping and fishing with our grandparents, all six of us cramped in my grandparents small RV. Those summers were magical - we exored the outdoors, fished, rode dirt bikes, tried to catch crawdads in the ditches with hot dogs tied to the end of a string after it rained, and played outside all day. We took trips to Six Flags often, the zoo, the swimming pool - you name it, we did it together. We were more like sibling than cousins, and we loved each other deeply.

One camping trip stands out. We found a small pond during one of our many adventures and decided to see who could skip rocks the farthest. I had never skipped rocks before, and my first throw missed the pond entirely, hitting Will on the head and leaving him with a scar he carried that stayed visible as a constant reminder of what I did. It wasn't funny then, but that sacrifice became a source of many laughs over the years. Will was always the most honest among us. During holidays, we'd play Monopoly, and Will never let anyone cheat, even the adults, and especially the banker. His integrity and protective nature were evident even then.

After high school, Will asked me to take him to Downtown Fort Worth so he could enroll in the military. You see, Will admired my grandfather who he looked up to growing up. My grandfather served in the military for over 20 years and shared his strong morales and his integrity with all of us grandkids but made a very special mark and bond on Wills heart and soul. Will wanted to follow in my grandpa's footsteps ser ing and protecting our country. Though that path wasn't meant for him, it was the beginning of his journey to another meaningful life. I shared many meaningful milestones with Will: helping him get his first apartment, being one of the first people he told when he met the woman of his dreams and then being one of the first people he told when he decided to propose to Vanessa.

When Will first met Vanessa, he knew he had found the girl of his dreams. He couldn't stop talking about how smart, beautiful and brave she was - he was in love! I was thrilled to help him pick out her engagement ring. From a young age, Will wanted to start a family of his own. Despite a challenging childhood, my grandparents influence helped md Will into the man he needed to be when he met Vanessa. Vanessa was his angel on earth, showing him unconditio al love, commitment, and direction leading him to the man he had become. Together, they built a beautiful family with three wonderful children, creating precious memories they shared with us all.

I watched Will I've and love. Vanessa and their kids gave him the stability and joy he deserved, showing him he would never be abandoned or forgotten. Even though distance kept us apart, whenever we reconnected, Will's hugs felt like home, reminding me of our grandfather. His smile and our shared bond reassured me that his love never wavered.

My last beautiful memory of Will was at his son, Michael's wedding. When we arrived we were greeted with his gorgeous smile that will never be forgotten. He was so proud that day. He hugged me and while looking down at me, he said I am so happy you came. I keep telling everyone we grew up together and we were more like brother and sister than cousins. And he was right - the bond we formed as young kids could and will never be broken because we loved each other and made pre ious memories that will forever be in our hearts.

Will, I will always love you, cherish you and I know we will see each other again one day. Our memories will continue to be talked about and passed down to future generations as your memory will never be lost. I know you will continue to serve our Lord as you are up in heaven and watching over us on earth to remind us to continue to do the right thing in every step of our lives.
