William Eugene Diedrich, affectionately known as "Bill," passed away on March 25, 2025, at the age of 82. Born on July 10, 1942, in Columbus, he lived a life filled with love and dedication to his family and friends.

Bill worked for Schwebel's, where he loaded trucks and prepared routes for the drivers until his retirement. His personality shone through his friendly nature; he was ornery and stubborn but always an animal lover and a great talker who easily made friends wherever he went. His honesty and straightforward approach to life endeared him to many who knew him.

He is survived by his loving family including his daughter Michelle (Greg) Cramer, sons Bo Diedrich and Rod Diedrich, twin brother Doug "Blackie" Diedrich, sisters Bev, Linda, and Carol, brother Dick, along with five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. His proudest accomplishments were his family and the life he and his late wife, Patricia Gayle Diedrich, created together before her passing.

Bill  will always be remembered for the joyful moments shared with family. His family recalls how often their mom would drag him to outlet malls and flea markets, where he would do anything Patricia wanted. He also enjoyed hobbies such as bowling, horse racing, and visits to the casino at Scioto Downs.

Bill is preceded in death by his father, Charles Diedrich, mother, Marie Diedrich, son, Mike Diedrich, wife, Patricia Gayle Diedrich, sister Roselyn, and sister Patty.

Visitation will be held on March 31, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, Northeast, located at 3047 E Dublin Granville Rd, Columbus, OH 43231. A funeral service will follow on April 1, 2025, at 11:00 AM, same location.
