Tom Cox

I´m so sorry to hear about Bill and your loss. I just heard about it and wish I could have made the funeral. I was one of the neighborhood kids ( Tom Cox ) that worked on the farm back about 1977 ( 13 yrs old) with Bill and his dad Carl. Bill use to always clear the snow off our street with his tractor. I have so many funny memories of working there. Too many to list. I worked there several years and it was a major building block to a young kid like me to help establish good work ethics. Bill & Carl were tough but great men and taught us young kids a lot about responsibility. We were ages 13 - 17. One funny memory was when Carl chased one of the guys across the field in his tractor on a hot day when the guy was "supposed" to be in the field cutting greens but instead he was in the pump house slacking off. Carl didn´t like that. Carl use to challenge all of us to foot races and bike races. We could never beat him. He was in great shape. Most of us lived on that street. Fun times. It was like a second family and we played football there sometimes after work or fished or threw somebody in the pond. Great memories.

I met the Dohn family as a teacher at St. Polycarp. Bill and Donna are among the parents who hold a special place in my heart. Bill came over to school with his tractor and tilled up a patch of the property outside the 4th grade windows so we could have a garden for the kids to plant and take care of for the Ag in the Classroom program. We (Kelly Thaler and I) loved walking to the Dohn farm with the kids for field trips. Bill was always so patient with them and proud to explain the workings of the farm. I am so glad that I had the pleasure of knowing him. Lisa Murray

We feel blessed to have known Bill. He was a special person, always kind and caring towards our family including our kids. His attitude was always upbeat and energetic with an enthusiasm for being around people. We enjoyed seeing him at the Lake Cumberland cottage. Our sincere condolences for your loss. We pray God´s presence will be felt in the love and comfort of friends and family.
